Cassie Marin proving that you probably (definitely) don’t “Compare”

The Miami artist revealed herself to the world last year with her debut album Plastique Days to much acclaim. Her work ethic is still on full display, quickly surprising fans with more new music with the EP S.O.S (Spoonful of Sugar).

The opening and standout track “Compare” is quickly becoming one of our favourites at the moment.

The song is, once again, a wave of emotional honesty and simplistic art. There are a lot of small sonic elements that lay the foundation of the track, layered with Cassie’s blistering vocals, creating an invisible and appropriate pedestal for herself.

The EP is a collection of Cassie’s abilities; another self-produced, self-mixed and personal account of her life and her growth as a young artist, quickly accustoming herself with the beam of the spotlight.
